Future Harvest – UH Leeward Community College
Brand Identity Design
Future Harvest is an initiative of the University of Hawaiʻi Leeward Community College that equips aspiring farmers and food entrepreneurs with the education, resources, and community needed to build resilient local food systems. As the program kicked-off, it needed a visual identity that reflected both the innovation of modern agriculture and the deep cultural roots of farming in Hawaiʻi.
Working closely with the University of Hawaiʻi team, I developed a cohesive brand identity that could flex across print, digital, environmental graphics, presentations, educational materials, and event marketing. The goal was to create a system that felt approachable and optimistic while honoring the connection between people, place, and food.
The visual language draws inspiration from Hawaiʻi's landscapes and agricultural heritage, balancing clean typography with organic forms, university on-brand colors, and imagery that celebrates the three branches of education support; Fertilization, Propagation and Irrigation. Every design decision was made to support the initiative's larger mission: making agriculture feel welcoming, relevant, and full of possibility for the next generation.
The resulting brand system provided the University with a flexible foundation for future campaigns and communications, creating consistency across every touchpoint while giving the program a recognizable identity that could grow alongside it.
